Go with What Works for You

Welcome once again to this newsletter and to our message. We have been contemplating what subject to go on to next. Does that surprise you that we don't just automatically know everything. That we as guides also have to contemplate and think things through. There is nothing wrong with taking the time to get a clearer picture before you move forward. Sometimes time is of the essence, and you need to make a decision quickly, in that case we still suggest that you quiet the mind, connect with your heart, and allow the process to happen. Taking the time to do the few breaths, to step back, or step out of the room if you can for just two or three minutes can give you the clarity you need to make the proper decision.

For many of you, you are in situations where you have to make decisions rapidly and for some of those decisions it really doesn't require that much thought. You already know the way things need to go so you are able to put out a decision, but at other times that's not so easy. There are so many factors that can be brought in into almost any decision that for some people it becomes overwhelming. We believe that in your hurried world and with so much information coming at you from so many sources, that it can truly be hard to have clear insight into a matter, especially one that is going to affect your whole life. Things like moving to a new location, is it time to leave your current position and move on to another company or even another position in the company. Is it time to start a business of your own or does it make more sense to stay working for someone else where you know there is a steady paycheck? These types of situations require more than a quick thought. These ones require you to do the above steps, quiet the mind, take the breaths, but they also require you to dig deeper into knowing what it is that you truly want. What direction do you want your life to go in? Are you on a business path that requires you to move up steps or are you on a path that allows you to just go with the flow and know that things will work out? Very different ways of moving forward. What might be right for you could be the worst thing for someone else and vice versa. Someone who prefers to step into the flow has a hard time understanding someone who lists out their 10, 5, 3, and one year goals. But the goal setter also cannot understand why that person who's going with the flow is not laying out a plan to move forward. The thing to keep in mind is that your brains don't all function the same, you don't have the same backgrounds, the same skills, the same way of thinking. Just as someone can be good in reading and not good in math, there are those who absolutely love math and find it fascinating and that is their favorite way of looking at things. Putting things in logical order, that doesn't work for everyone.

And then you have life experiences, someone who has attempted to set goals and they have fallen through repeatedly, definitely looks for a different way to move forward. For those that have always had their goals work well, when they don't, then they are thrown off balance and need to figure out whether their goal was not the right one for them or maybe they need to look at another way of moving forward.

All of this to say each one of you is on an individual path, one created just for you. Just because Susie is going up the corporate ladder and loving it and it fits her to a T does not mean that it's going to fit the quiet introvert who prefers to read, have a small collection of friends, and prefers to not be in a structured large corporation. Both of them are intelligent, warm, loving individuals but they have very different ways of looking at the world. And we will point out, we are just commenting on the extremes but there is this whole spectrum. There are people who may have been goal setters when they were young, and now they've decided they can step back and allow more things to go with the flow. There are those who started in the flow and decided if they wanted to move forward, they needed more structure. Will either one become fully the other end of the spectrum, not likely, and if they do, they probably can't maintain it for long. Be willing to work with your own human nature, go with what works for you.

We thank you for taking the time to read this message. We love you and we are always, always with you.
